“ME TIME” is simply a short period of time during which you relax by doing something you enjoy. Here are a few “Me Time” for you to incorporate into your busy life to help slow down the craziness!!
“Me Time Tips”
- Sit on the porch with a cup of coffee and the newspaper. Or a cup of coffee and no newspaper. Just watch the clouds go by. No phone, no calendars, no social media, no distractions, and just listen to the sound of quite–not being disturbed, not being interrupted, for 10 minutes. Just let your mind relax and breath deep.
- Make a place somewhere in your home where relaxing is the key function. Make it your personal place and make it convenient for YOU! Even a small chair in the corner with a few of your favorite pillows would work perfectly. Make this your quite zone and distraction free zone. This would include turning off social media for a few minutes. Just giving yourself five minutes a day in your small little corner can make a difference. Give it a try!
- Try keeping some fresh flowers around your home or office. Throughout your day, actually STOP and smell them. It is more difficult to feel angry or upset when the wonderful scent of fresh flowers is in the air. A single rose or a colorful bouquet of flowers can brighten up an entire room and also our mood!!
